How Stratum Atlas handles your information
Last updated July 2026
Stratum Atlas is operated by Stratum Intelligence. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our website, read our research, or access the Stratum Terminal, how we use that information, and the choices available to you.
We write this policy in plain language. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the end of this page.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to the Stratum Atlas website, subscribers and registered users of the Stratum Terminal, individuals who contact us by email, and anyone who otherwise interacts with Stratum Atlas online.
If you separately enter a managed account or advisory relationship with Stratum Intelligence, additional privacy disclosures in your advisory agreement and Form ADV also apply.
Information we collect
When you create an account to access the Stratum Terminal, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials through our identity provider, which may include Google sign in or email and password registration.
We store account metadata needed to operate the Terminal, including your user identifier, access status, login timestamps, and records of which editions or coverage areas you have viewed where our systems log that activity for security and service delivery.
If you request a demo, join a waitlist, or contact us directly, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as your name, organization, email address, and message content.
When you browse our website, our servers and analytics tools may automatically collect technical information such as browser type, device type, pages visited, referring URL, and approximate location derived from IP address. We use this information to secure the site, diagnose errors, and understand how visitors use Stratum Atlas.
Information we do not collect
Stratum Atlas is a research and intelligence product. We do not collect brokerage account numbers, Social Security numbers, bank account details, or portfolio positions through the Atlas website or Terminal unless you separately provide them to us outside this product in a different relationship.
We do not sell your personal information to data brokers or advertising networks.
We do not use third party advertising cookies on the Stratum Atlas research site.
How we use your information
We use account information to authenticate you, grant access to the Stratum Terminal, enforce access controls, and communicate with you about your subscription or account status.
We use contact information to respond to inquiries, provide customer support, send service notices, and deliver research updates you have requested or that relate to your account.
We use technical logs to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve site performance and content organization.
We do not use your personal information for unrelated marketing without your consent.
Legal bases for processing
Where applicable under privacy laws such as the GDPR, we process personal information based on one or more of the following: performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing Stratum Atlas, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where consent is required.
How we share information
We share information with service providers that help us operate Stratum Atlas, including cloud hosting, authentication, database, email delivery, and analytics vendors. These providers process data on our instructions and are required to protect it appropriately.
We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Stratum Atlas, our users, or others.
If Stratum Intelligence is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to this policy or a successor policy with notice to you where required.
Cookies and similar technologies
The Stratum Terminal and account areas use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and to protect your session. These technologies are necessary for the service to function.
We may use analytics tools that place cookies or similar identifiers to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control non essential cookies through your browser settings where available.
Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide Stratum Atlas, and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with law, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us. Some records may need to be retained for legal, regulatory, or security reasons even after deletion is requested.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted connections, access controls, and monitoring of our infrastructure.
No method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to limit the categories of sensitive data we hold and to use reputable providers for critical functions.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent based.
You may update certain account details within the Terminal where that functionality is available. For other requests, contact us at the address below. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
Stratum Atlas is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
International transfers
Stratum Atlas is operated from the United States. If you access the service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. If changes are material, we may also notify registered users by email or through the Terminal.
